As per the direction of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, 50 announcements were announced to the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority in the TamilNadu Legislative Assembly Budget for the financial year 2023-24. These announcements aim to expedite the implementation of 34 announcements for the development of 26 Assembly Constituencies in the Chennai Metropolitan Area. These initiatives include upgrading and modernizing various MTC bus stands, constructing and renovating the play grounds and parks, constructing additional school buildings in Corporation schools, constructing new community halls, and renovating Dhobi kanas in Chennai. These places have been inspected to initiate the necessary actions.
Today (8.5.2023), we have inspected the market place at Kolathur Paper Mills Road in Chennai will be constructed as a new modern market by CMDA at an estimated cost of Rs.10 crore. Next, we have inspected the football ground located at Srinivasan Street, Mettupalayam, Puzhal, Madhavaram Assembly Constituency will be renovated at an estimate cost of Rs.1.50 crore. Similarly at Puzhal, Mahalakshmi Nagar, Corporation Middle School, which was inaugurated on 26.04.1967 during the tenure of former Chief Minister Peraringar Anna, is now currently functioning with limited facilities. It will be renovated and constructed new school complex in concrete floor and equipped with all basic facilities in this Middle
school.
In continuation of the inspection at Ennore market, Thiruvottriyur Assembly Constituency, permanent shops for fish shops and roadside vendors with all facilities will
be renovated and built in the best possible way at an estimated cost of Rs.5 crores and it will have a separate fish and meat shops, separate vegetable and fruits shops and a separate community hall will be constructed. Similarly, for the benefit of the people of North Chennai, about 5 km long beach from Parvathi Nagar to Kasimedu will be beautified
at a cost of Rs.30 crore.
Totally 50 announcements announced to the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority for the financial year of 2023-24, 34 announcements announced to the
development of 26 Assembly constituencies for the Chennai metropolitan area, out of which 16 places have been inspected and the remaining 18 places will be inspected shortly .
